This Fellowship is a focused effort to allow participants to gain hands-on public sector experience in agencies in Western Riverside County while enriching the local community.As the Social Media and Communications Public Service Fellow for the City of Murrieta, I assumed the position of social media assistant: planning posts, scheduling content, gathering media content, and discussing with my supervisor about information distribution. Additionally, I worked on various campaigns for social media and digital outreach to inform the community about regional highlights, and created media including brochures, videos, signage, and freeway billboards.

I checked in guests using the software Disney provides, assisted with special events and nighttime spectacular preparation, helped maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant, and worked directly with Guest Show Operations to enforce the safety and enhance the experience of thousands of park guests. All tasks were expected to be completed while maintaining the brand of the Walt Disney Company. This position was terminated due to COVID-19.

The Disney College Program is organized by the Walt Disney Company. This opportunity is very competitive to get into and involves a rigorous recruitment process. This 7-month program is designed to evolve college students in their professional careers who desire to work with the brand. Participants work at Walt Disney World and have the opportunity to work for a diverse set of roles at one of Florida's four Disney theme parks, Disney Springs, and many of Disney's Orlando hotels and resorts. Program canceled due to COVID-19.
