Currently serve on the Missouri University of Science & Technology alumni board as a vice president and previously chaired the Dean’s Leadership Council for the College of Arts, Science, and Education at MS&T. For over 40 years I provided solutions to utilities relating to financial, rate and management issues. I developed relationships with and provided professional consulting services to clients across the country. As of May 8, 2019 I retired from everyday consulting. As of October 2022 I came out of retirement on a part time basis to assist the T&D Global Practice on a few focused projects.As Senior Project Manager of Regulatory Services at Burns & McDonnell, I worked with great individuals who focused on finding answers to our clients needs. I presented study results to stakeholders, boards, and governing bodies and provided expert witness testimony before state regulatory commissions.My project experience included analysis of utility system operations and management; strategic and business planning; contract negotiations, cost-benefit analysis, financial feasibility; revenue requirements; cost of service; rate design; resource acquisition strategies; and valuations of system property. I assisted numerous clients with Smart Grid gap analysis and business case development studies and with innovative rate solutions including time of use, residential demand rates, and various rate options to address customers with solar and wind generation.
