CurrentTed is the national leader of BakerHostetler's E-Discovery Advocacy and Management team (EDAM), an industry-leading group in the application of technology and practical approaches to complex discovery in civil litigation and beyond. EDAM executes strategic plans to supervise and execute the preservation of evidence and management of discovery in more than a dozen data breaches and subsequent class actions, including four of the top five largest healthcare breaches in United States history. Ted also oversees EDAM's national role providing e-discovery expertise to BakerHostetler's Chambers-ranked Privacy and Data Protection team.For several years, Ted was responsible for the overall strategic management of discovery and ESI across all of the legal actions initiated by Irving H. Picard, as the court-appointed Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) Trustee, in connection with the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC. Ted's team coordinates, develops and integrates numerous cutting-edge commercial and proprietary systems to manage all aspects of discovery in the more than 1,000 lawsuits filed by the SIPA Trustee. To date, the SIPA Trustee has recovered more than $11.4 billion in proceeds for the benefit of defrauded customers defrauded by the largest Ponzi scheme in United States history. Ted is a member of the BakerHostetler Inclusion & Diversity Council, the head of the firm's LGBTQ Affinity Group, and serves as the pro bono coordinator of the New York office.
