Working with small charities and community led organisations who work with and support people, • Enabling them to identify needs and challenges of people they support, providing co-design activity, project and activity development, oversight and impact monitoring. • Exploring how the Voluntary and Community Sector, VCS, is involved in real transformation of activities; enhancing and develop skills and understanding of service and provision, and how that relates to local or community need.• Developing an understanding of strategic plans, co-designed with their users. • Enabling the development of business plans, funding applications, oversight, monitoring and reporting mechanisms. This results in realistically costed projects that have clear and achievable objectives and outlined impact measurements. I like working with those who want to learn and develop adopting an asset-based approach, acknowledging the skills and experiences of our clients. Recognising individuals within the community as skilled and experienced assets and not as commodities that require their capacity to be built.I prefer a participatory model of learning and development rather than deficiency or compliance models. And while doing this I keep asking where does Open Data fit into all this process.
