I have transitioned into a new/similar role at Planet but am now part of our federal team focusing for US Government agencies assisting them to migrate to Microsoft Teams and Teams voice solutions.

In my role as the Collaboration Technologies Architect, I continued my focus on the Microsoft collaboration space with an eye on growth into expanding my focus into M365. Prior to COVID, I had been hired to complete the deployment of Microsoft Lync 2015 as a PBX replacement globally and to take over all collaboration efforts in the company. Then COVID happened.. We found that the on-prem install of Lync 2015 was not sized to meet the need of a fully remote workforce.Enter Microsoft TeamsPrior to the pandemic however, I was piloting Teams for Direct Routing for our voice workloads and did have it running. With some tricky planning, end-user training, and good communications, I was able to globally move the chat and conferencing workload over to Teams to alleviate the pressure (PSTN came later). To our collective surprise the cutover worked flawlessly.After this I began to expand into an M365 focus since so much of what I was doing was in the cloud it just made sense. Here is what I see as my relevant list of responsibilities:• Completed deployment of Skype for Business 2015 to replace local PBX deployments globally• Upgraded Skype for Business on-prem with Microsoft Teams and expanded phone service for 36 countries using Direct Routing• Implemented AudioCodes Teams phones at manufacturing plants• Globally replaced legacy Polycom room systems with Crestron Teams room systems • Managed global PSTN access• Implemented Dynamic E911• Lead project to replace Ivanti with System Center Configuration Manager and enabled co-management with Microsoft Intune and Windows AutoPilot• Configured Azure AD Hybrid to allow remote devices to connect to line of sight on-prem domain controllers• Assisted in replacement Okta MFA with Microsoft MFA for entire enterprise• Piloted deployment of Microsoft Intune to manage Windows 10, MacOS, iOS, and Android devices for both corporate owned and BYOD devices

I served served as a trusted advisor to many customers by delivering a wide range of high quality enterprise services and solutions that meet technical challenges and resolve critical business issues. I also was actively involved in project definition activities by contributing to pre-sales discussions, proposal development, and statement of work creation. I led the development of global strategies, planning, architecture, deployment, and Day 2 support of all aspects of Microsoft Lync 2010 and 2013 for customers in aerospace development, consumer goods, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing. I was comfortable leading technical teams, configuring complex systems, and presenting to executives.

During my time at BT, I was primarily focused on delivering partner engagements funded by Microsoft to pilot Lync 2010 and Exchange 2010 as a UC Consultant. I also spent some time at the Chicago MTC delivering partner engagements and product demonstrations showcasing Lync's capabilities to enterprise customers and providing the data back to BT's sales team for follow up.

As a senior consultant for PointBridge, you were not only expected to have technical brilliance in your chosen discipline but also are expected to become a trusted advisor to the client and establish yourself as someone to be independent if working alone or to be a solid part of the team if working in a group situation allowing you to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and technologies. You have to be able to think on your feet and present difficult subjects to a wide audience.

Document and perform disaster recovery operations, advise management of new hardware requirements, server design, storage design requirements, email and instant messaging standards.

Performed duties as a Microsoft Certified Trainer, training support staff for a wide variety companies and organizations, providing premier technical instruction in Microsoft products complimenting the full width of the MCSE program on a full time and contract basis using Microsoft Official Curriculum. Responsible for high energy small/medium group presentations, informed discussions, and hands-on labs.I did do contract work for NH up until 2007 before moving into a full-time consulting role.
