Linux geek | Freethinker | Open Source Supporter | Full-Stack DeveloperAt the age of 10, I stumbled upon the world of Linux, setting in motion a journey of exploration and fascination for operating systems and its inner workings.Intrigued by the allure of open-source software, I started programming my own open source, experimental operating system in the C programming language at age 16 to better understand the workings of an OS.Over the years, my fascination expanded into a passion for programming and understanding the inner workings of software in general. This involved administrating Linux servers and desktops, troubleshooting fellow Linux and Windows users, setting up networks, (shell) scripting and working on several other pet projects.I have also written several large (commercial) projects from scratch since, including the software for a stereoscopic baby body size measuring device, a data over DAB+ encoder/decoder, and a web-based license and database management system.My current pet project is an X11/Wayland desktop environment.Besides the aforementioned, my other interests and hobbies include: traveling, reading, psychology, aviation, biology, health + fitness, and philosophy.
