Tegan provides legal support to Interac in a variety of areas and works closely with the business to drive forward a variety of innovation products. Prior to joining Interac Tegan spent several years as an associate at a Bay Street firm. In that role Tegan practiced in a variety of areas including competition law, product liability, commercial litigation, and foreign investment and trade law. Tegan also advised clients on a variety of regulatory matters with specific experience in consumer products, food and drugs, and cannabis. Before joining as an associate, Tegan summered and articled with the firm.Tegan graduated from the J.D. program at the University of Toronto. During her time in law school Tegan was actively involved in the community. Tegan volunteered as a Division Leader and worked as a summer caseworker at Downtown Legal Services, the University of Toronto’s student legal clinic. Prior to law school Tegan graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science (with Distinction) from McMaster University. During this time, she worked as a teaching assistant in economics. Her interdisciplinary education exposed her to a variety of academic interests including economics, public policy and chemistry.
