I am a senior studying computer science at Harvey Mudd College. I enjoy computer science, because it enables me to creatively solve problems and positively impact people's lives. Both my school and my college emphasize helping others and preserving the world, and I have cultivated those values.I have experience with Machine Learning using the Python library Scikit-Learn for a project, in which I used NBA players’ career stats to predict which draft round a player was selected in. I have used PyTorch to predict the winner of the NBA’s MVP award, and to build a generative adversarial network (GAN) that produces images of handwritten digits. Additionally, I have independently built a Google Chrome extension to calculate and display a student’s overall grade percentages on Gradescope, an assignment submission website. This functionality does not exist on Gradescope, and I hope my peers at Harvey Mudd College and at other colleges find it useful.I have interned at a startup called Upahara, which is a public-benefit corporation that aims to make giving easier, more transparent, and trustworthy. I designed and built Upahara’s website. I have interned at a venture capital fund called Roble Ventures, which invests exclusively in human-enablement technology. While at Roble Ventures, I used Selenium to webscrape LinkedIn and Pitchbook to collect potential investors in the firm. I built a React web app to rank them. Through these experiences, my passion for helping people and contributing meaningfully has grown.I am passionate about software development, data science, and artificial intelligence, specifically machine learning and its applications. I hope to find an opportunity to explore these interests further.
