Responsible for providing extensive administrative support to the internal medicine academic office by ensuring the Internal Medicine residents are provided necessary support to be successful throughout their residency program such as licensing/credentialing, renewals, any training materials. I was also responsible for providing customer support for outside agencies requesting verifications and background checks of current and former residents in a promptly fashion. Other responsibilities included travel arrangements for staff and faculty. Entertainment reimbursements, and event planning and set up.

I was assigned to Kidney Transplant to provide superior customer service/patient care and extensive admin support in an ever changing environment to ensure the evaluation process to be waitlisted is seamless while adhering to UNOS regulations. Other responsibilities included providing executive assistant level support to the Transplant Director and Transplant committee; minutes, calendar coordinating, and extensive record keeping.

Provide superior customer service/patient care support to the Urology department. Demonstrating my working knowledge of medical terminology, insurance authorizations, emr, excel, book keeping, and data entry, financial transactions, etc. Effectively working collaboratively with colleagues and physicians to meet the demanding needs of the clinic, patients, and physicians.

Provided customer service and admin support in the Microbiology lab by processing lab result requests, placing lab orders- regular and stat, entering lab results into emr and Sunquest. Data entry and report writing utilizing excel and crystal lab reports in a timely fashion.

Served as the pre-service point of contact for patients to obtain all necessary information to pre-register and financially clear prior to day of service delivery. Also handled non-clinical referrals and authorization coordination and unbilled account follow-up's. Enhances the patient experience throughout all patient interactions by serving as the customer service point of contact by demonstrating knowledge of Sutter’s Health system and service offerings. Extremely familiar with different insurances.

Was a member of the nursing team & contributed directly to patient care by ensuring that the necessary level of staff was provided for the inpatient units. I served as a liaison between the nursing staff & the nursing administration team members hand was responsible for the correct interpretation of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreements covering staffing, scheduling, and pay practices.
