About Teni-Ola Ogunjobi, Ph.D.

Teni-Ola Ogunjobi, PhD is influential in areas of conflict management, intercultural Alternative Dispute Resolution, nonprofit communications, community engagement, volunteer management, intercultural education, grassroots development, business management and communications/journalism. Teni-Ola earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism/English from Howard University, a Master of Arts degree in Intercultural Relations from the University of the Pacific, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in International Conflict Management from Kennesaw State University. As a part of her master's program, she lived and worked in West Africa (Mali & Senegal) with the Peace Corps. She also taught at bilingual and international schools for an additional two years in Senegal. She is the Founder of Intercultural Communities Project, an organization working to bridge, build, and sustain strong intercultural communities with youth and adults by providing intercultural education, cross-cultural exchange opportunities, community engagement, empowerment, and leadership skills. Teni-Ola has served the refugee and immigrant community as an AmeriCorps member and volunteer coordinator at a refugee resettlement agency and community engagement manager at a school for refugee girls. She was a Director for an afterschool initiative for refugee youth including alumni resource and support services, fundraising, volunteer management and community advocacy. She heads communications and community outreach efforts for community based crisis relief nonprofit working to expand awareness of and access to public health services in Georgia. Teni-Ola is committed to serving diverse communities in international and domestic settings and seeks difference in her personal and professional contexts.
