I am a self-motivated, detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional with a wide array of knowledge in the field including researching, building relationships with vendors, auditing for contract and agreement compliance and processing high dollar, time sensitive documents. I am an excellent communicator known for handling the more difficult and high maintenance contacts and departments and creating easy rapport to allow for smooth, beneficial working relationships. Using IFAS, PeopleSoft and, recently, Great Plains Dynamics, I have more than a decade of experience working through the full AP process. This includes receiving invoices either by mail or email, initiating any research needed, getting all approvals or additional information required, auditing the invoices compared to current fee schedules, contracts, and agreements. These invoices, estimates or requests for payments are then processed through the ERP system for final approvements and payment. I have knowledge of how to create manual payment batches for credit card and check payments as well as matching hard checks to their invoices, prepping them for being mailed out or picked up by vendors, and dropping the check batches off at USPS for delivery. I am familiar with researching any checks that might have been lost en route to the vendor, gathering information to proceed with the cancel/reissue process, and communicating payment information to the vendor to try and avoid any fees.
