CurrentProvides coordination of all the manpower policies and priorities for the statewide comprehensive manpower planning system; develops policies and regulations and participates in the development and review of necessary legislation to obtain the goals of the program; assists in determining manpower priorities for the State, including fiscal allocations necessary to implement these priorities.Provides support for the development of Requests for Proposals for Statewide Activities/Planning… Show more Provides coordination of all the manpower policies and priorities for the statewide comprehensive manpower planning system; develops policies and regulations and participates in the development and review of necessary legislation to obtain the goals of the program; assists in determining manpower priorities for the State, including fiscal allocations necessary to implement these priorities.Provides support for the development of Requests for Proposals for Statewide Activities/Planning initiatives.Seeks new funding opportunities for programs for special populations; applies for, completes and submits grant applications to federal government and other funding sources to secure grants that support activities that lead to employment of special populations.Assists in developing and recommending strategies to enhance and expand services to statewide disability workforce programs; serves as the coordinator for disability issues and workforce programs including the provision of Rapid Response and coordinates research, development and maintenance of grants. Serves as the coordinator for disability issues and workforce programs including oversight of the management of the programs and managing the statewide collection of data on individuals with disabilities served through Office initiatives specifically through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).Assists in developing and recommending strategies to enhance and expand services to statewide disability workforce programs; communicates verbally and through written correspondence with U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), national workforce organizations, other states, State and local councils. Travels statewide to meet with state and local workforce groups to participate in the development of strategies, policies and implementation methods related to employment programs for individuals with disabilities.
