• Qualitative study interviewing current college students and recently graduated college students who have participated in whiteboarding interviews• Goal: to understand the technical interview process from the interviewee perspective to better improve the technical interview process and the preparation phase for interviewees• Study funded by Google and VT Center of HCI (CHCI)• Won David Heilman Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research• Published and presented initial findings in ACM Creativity and Cognition 2023• Study done under the guidance of Dr. Sang Won Lee. The quantitative survey portion of this study was conducted by Dr. Chris Brown and Brian Bell.

• Developed a project projected to save over $600K annually by reducing CPU and memory waste on a single Kubernetes cluster• Created a cron job to have a Python script, which pulled metrics from Sysdig using Prometheus queries, populate our database periodically• Led the development of the Resource Management Dashboard, created in React, to display top wasting namespaces and images and providemore detailed information regarding waste for CPU and memory• Created visualizations using Python libraries matplotlib and pandas to explain to stakeholders the scope of resource waste within the cluster• Contributed to creating a scalable framework to minimize waste on other clusters with minimal additional development• Led standup for intern team and kept stories updated with team progress

• Repaired and added functionality to a broken application that automated the generation of 500,000+ Quarterly Performance Reports (QPRs)• Utilized Java and Spring Boot for the backend, React for the front end, and Cassandra databases• Developed working knowledge of REST APIs, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS• Developed understanding of the software development life cycle, the Jules pipeline, and Agile framework using Jira• Launched application to private cloud service and developed thorough documentation for easy project hand‑off
