Root2Being is the leading global resource on foot shape and function, and its links to chronic illness and injury. Inspired through my own challenges to understand and overcome chronic musculoskeletal pain, Root2Being will make it easier:For practitioners to:a) incorporate biomechanical assessment as part of their treatment servicesb) create and deliver a suite of holistic integrated treatments that includes prescription of orthotics (where appropriate) and a range of holistic and complementary therapies to help rebalance and heal the whole body from years of chronic physical and emotional stress.c) make use of data visualisation tools and technologies (such as TOG Gaitscan, motion capture gait analysis technology, aura interpretations etc) to educate and inform patients about their healthFor individuals with an interest in resolving chronic health conditions to find the right therapists and treatments for them.

Working with Innovation Birmingham and Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) to facilitate SME engagement and wider industry collaboration in the Transport Systems Catapult (TSC) /TfWM Intelligent Mobility incubator at iCentrum. Alongside this I'm continuing my existing roles as steering group member for ODI Birmingham, member of the West Midlands Open Data Forum, and Creative Director of DEFT153 Ltd. As well as attracting digital and tech SME's, there are significant opportunities for private sector transport industry companies to engage and support, as well as building stronger links with universities, schools and academies, and journalism/data journalists. This will enable us to bring together real life industry challenges, skills and education, and storytelling/communication skills in a collaborative space to address the West Midlands Network Resilience Challenges.Defining the challenges, networking the right people together, and providing access to datasets, data platforms, and data exploration, analysis and visualisation tools are critical for success.

Exploring new business models for sharing knowledge and creating community now the web is a free publishing platform for all. This is a challenge for journalists, organisations and individuals, and transformational change is needed in the way we communicate and share knowledge for the benefit of others. Through two new businesses I'm exploring these challenges; DEFT153 Ltd for local highways and transport, and Root2Being.com for holistic, integrated healthcare.The culmination of this course was the delivery of the Future Highways conference for Landor LINKS, 5th July 2016, bringing the local highways, open data, tech. academia and energy sectors together to begin the next phase of transformation for the local highways sector in the UK.

Providing advice and guidance for the development of performance reporting for the MIS business, specialist input to Client Feedback strategy, and support to development of operational processes.

Working under the direction of a Technical Director, Teresa assisted in delivering a number of Transformation projects across the business. One key area where Teresa led development was the design of a balanced scorecard for measuring the company’s performance. Teresa developed a visual reporting approach so that management, clients and employees could quickly home in on the areas of improvement relevant to themselves.Alongside her Business Improvement role, Teresa continued to deliver the role of Assistant CDM Co-ordinator for a range of Highways Design and Maintenance projects across the UK.

Alongside her role as Assistant CDM Co-ordinator, Teresa was part of a small Business Improvement Team responsible for creating and implementing a range of improvement projects across the business.Following sponsorship of her proposal to develop a suite of report templates to improve the consistency of reports produced within the Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental teams, Teresa project managed the delivery of ten award-winning report templates for use across the business.

Teresa led the merger of the Highway Design and Highway Works Benchmarking Clubs to form the National Highways and Transport Performance Benchmarking Group.This collaborative Group has representatives from public and private sector bodies with experience in developing and using measurement indicators to support the sharing of knowledge for more effective ways of working, so that local authorities can discharge their duty to maintain and improve the local government highways asset more efficiently.During her tenure, Teresa supported the Group's objectives by clarifying the Mission, Vision and Values for the Group, establishing a new framework for the Key Performance Indicators used for Benchmarking across the sector, and forging collaborative alliances with other industry bodies.

In July 1998 Sir John Egan’s Construction Task Force published the report “Rethinking Construction”, with the clear message that the industry needed to significantly improve and to achieve this would require a radical new approach to the delivery of construction service and product. To monitor the success of these initiatives and to record performance across the supply chain, several proactive organisations identified the need to collect, analyse and benchmark their performance against other organisations within the highways & transportation sector. In 2000 consultation with private sector partners and some Local Authorities, agreements were reached to form two national benchmarking clubs – “The Highway Design and The Highway Works Best Value Benchmarking Clubs”.Having joined the committee in 2009, Teresa played an active role in delivering the changes needed within the Club to increase its value to the members.
