Responsible for the assessment, preparation, and the education of patients for endoscopic, interventional radiologic, and pulmonary procedures in the pre and post phase of care in a fast-paced environment. Performs charge nurse duties to ensure smooth operation for the department including communication and collaboration between anesthesia, surgery, and the interventional radiology department. Prepare for procedures considering physician preferences along with required instruments, supplies, and equipment in a manner that is cost effective without compromising the quality of care.
