I was recruited in winter 2019 to lead the residential landscape design & sales division. My role was not operational but more sales. I met with new client leads, performed landscape designs, estimates for the projects and closed the deals. I had a big customer service role from the first contact, throughout the estimating process through to doing the final walk through of each project. The reason for seperation was the partnership brokeup at the end 2021 and the division was no longer a main feature of the business. I loved the postion, the people and enjoyed the freedom of working at my home office, flexible hours, company viehcle and commnuted from my home to job sites.

 Customer Service: Responsible for setting up the office and establishing organizational methods for tracking leads, data base, project costing, formatting and content for our contracts.  Implemented standards for the appearance of our landscape plans, graphics and color renderings and set up an accounting system. Created our marketing plan, to include cold calling builders and developers, art direction for promotional materials, while opening up new markets resulting in years of referral business.  Designed, sold and managed medium to large scale residential projects.Later work included independent contracts through 2015, until owner relocated to Florida.

Provided landscape planning and contracting services, utilizing the principles of design composition through comprehensive studies of architectural forms and features, conducted site analysis and client focused interviews, engaging the client’s interest through functional and visually unique graphic style presentations, easy to read working plans and color renderings. Directed many phases of project implementation, such as, material and plant placement, creating beds, contouring, irrigation, lighting design and follow up project care, the company also provided residential maintenance services. Developed a sales focus with 90% closure rates due to marketing strategies and qualifying techniques resulting in a largely referral based clientele.Created a system for budgeting, purchasing, proposal writing, and clearly defined contracts resulting in quality client relationships, including “on time” receivables through project phases. California Licensed Landscape Contractor and conducted all business accordingly.
