I have recently taken over the Controller responsibilities of Country Prime Meats. I will be managing the financial responsibilities from the Langley Office of Made-Rite Meats. Responsible for all financial aspects of the company, accurate inventory based on a standard costing model, cash management and introduce initiatives to promote successful business.

• Developed and instituted an inventory control system resulting in the first year a reduction in losses on inventory from over $140,000/year to acceptable level.
• Managed Inventory for the Vancouver branch on a daily basis to ensure accuracy creating confidence for sales that the stock was available when ordered.
• Carried out Inventory counts at all BC Branches to ensure that counts were done to audit requirements and that inventory variances were within acceptable levels.
• Implemented a procedure to stream line Plate Processing that complemented the use of the scanner system in the warehouse allowing for accurate accounting for the plates used, the time allocated to cut the plates and.
• Created training manuals to assist warehouse staff in operating the newly implemented scanner system facilitating timely and accurate inventory.
• Succeeded in setting up a system where billing was completed within 24 hours once material was shipped, complying with audit requirements and ensuring a timely receivable.

• Completed annual budgets with Branch/District/General Managers providing reliable information to accurately forecast the coming years business and staffing levels.
• Completed the necessary journal entries for the monthly financial statements providing an accurate picture of the month’s business.

• Job costing, variance analysis and inventory control including monthly cycle counts
• Created a monthly “KPI” (Key Performance Indicator) that delivered key indicators that assisted and guided the managers on the performance of their individual branches.
