I currently teach English at the high school level for honors students to prepare them to face the rigors of a college writing and reading curriculum. Emphasis is placed on accuracy and completeness of the writing process as well as efficiency and maturity of thought in the analysis of reading materials.During the 2012-2013 school year I obtained the addition of Master Teacher to my teaching license after completing a rigorous documented application process.

I worked closely with special education teachers and their students In Crawford County, working to enhance a career and life skills curriculum in their classrooms. I also monitored students who had employment in the work force, determining their ability levels and, if necessary, linking them with appropriate agencies for further assistance.

I taught English at the high school level to minimally to moderately disabled students in an isolated classroom setting. Skills included remedial reading and writing skills, career and life skills development and effective communications practice.
