About Terrell Brown

An accomplished leader with a heart for serving the community, I have long been passionate about empowering and building others up. For the past decade, I’ve had the good fortune to live out this mission both personally and professionally. As a college athlete, this looked like mentoring children in the community. As young professional and student success coach, I assisted underrepresented college students in meeting their academic goals. As an entrepreneur, nonprofit director, and community leader, I’ve developed programs to benefit underserved populations, built strategic partnerships, cultivated relationships with sponsors and donors, raised and administered funding, and overseen daily operations. My experience in community leadership roles, through board appointments, and in all aspects of nonprofit management has afforded me a diverse skill set, with areas of expertise including:▸ Grantmaking & Fundraising▸ Strategy▸ Program Management▸ Partnership Building▸ Brand Awareness & Marketing▸ Leadership Development▸ Team Building▸ Corporate & Community Relations▸ Mentoring & Talent DevelopmentKey Achievements: Hillside Connection▸ Grew the organization from its inception $350 (in-kind donation) in 2017 to over $500K in total assets.▸ Collaborated with NBA / WNBA / NFL/MLB /Olympic athletes Monte Morris (Detroit Pistons), Sheryl Swoopes, Lenny Wilkens, Bob Beamon (Olympic Gold Medalist) and others to host youth sports clinics.▸ Built a dynamic team of board and committee members, various paid staff, interns, and volunteers, including community leaders to coach and mentor young children.Sachs Foundation▸ Administered $1.2M in scholarships and increased scholarship applications by 76%. ▸ Built program to ignite the next wave of African American teachers, attracting more undergraduates to the profession and incentivizing them to join and remain in districts where they can have the greatest impact. ▸ Expanded opportunities to 7 additional institutions across Colorado.El Pomar Foundation▸ Regional Director of Pikes Peak Regional Partnerships.
