Served as the principal focal point for all supply chain operations. Responsibilities includes; overseeing the Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S) branch, General Equipment and Property Management Branch (PP&E), Purchasing Branch, Product Data Reporting and Evaluation Program (PDREP) for the command, and monitoring and managing the Service Cost Center (SCC) for Navy Sea Logistics Center that provides all warehouse operations support. Utilize research and process improvement theories to improve business and management practices for application to business line operations. Worked with leadership to develop and submit change notices to improve existing work methods, organization structures, management processes, and procedures for maximizing operational effectiveness and efficiency. Develop metrics to track and monitor effectiveness, efficiency and develop corrective actions plans.Evaluate overall performance of subordinate supervisors, team leaders, and employees. Reviewing official on evaluations and ratings made by subordinates of other employees on work and administrative matters. Give broad advice, counsel, and instructions to subordinate personnel in order to accomplish their assigned functions. Hear and/or resolve employee complaints or grievances and reviews serious disciplinary actions proposed by subordinate supervisors. Keep employees informed of EEO objectives and goals. Coordinate with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) counselors/officials and employees to resolve formal and informal EEO complaints. Assure group positions are designed and structured to ensure optimum efficiency, effectiveness and economy. Promote group/employee participation in process improvement, efficiency, quality, and cost reduction efforts. Plan, document and justify group resource requirements. Assigned to the TACOM LCMC Supply Directorate at a complex multi mission military installation. I am responsible for furnishing quality support to installation customers, private industry components of Installation Partnerships, and other agencies IAW authorized agreements. The LCMC works hand-and-hand with the ACC Warren Contracting Command providing Government-furnished Materiel (GFM)/ Government-furnished Property (GFP) to the contractor. I am also responsible for reviewing and interpreting guidance on the laws, regulations, and directives established by higher authority concerning, property accountability and administration. Establishes and executes life cycle policies and procedures for the acquisition, accounting, cataloging, management and disposal of all property and equipment issued by the command. Establishes utilization criteria and standards to effectively determine current and future equipment requirements. Coordinates property accounting procedures with related functions such as Revolving Fund Accounting and Procurement. Analyzes reports of field inspections made by auditors or representatives of higher authority. Prepares, reclaims or directs corrective action for deficiencies found. Responsible for the proper classification/ identification of all accountable property; the adequate control and safeguarding of property through effective systems; the maintenance of audible and up-to-date records of property inventories; the enforcement of requirements related to the loss, damage, or destruction of accountable property, etc. Logistics Management Spec - 0346 Serving as a Logistics Management Specialist on the TACOM LCMC Retail Supply Team, this team was created to meet the Army’s vision for transforming tactical logistics with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
