Career ProfileDr. Sullivan has more than thirty years of experience and an established reputation for excellence in developing and applying numerical models to address environmental contamination problems, with emphasis on nuclear waste management, analyzing environmental contamination problems in air, soil, and groundwater, risk assessment, and decision support. Pioneering work includes development of the DUST-MS (Disposal Unit Source Term – Multiple species code) which is used worldwide and the development of the DECERNS decision support software tool. He has significantly contributed to international projects in nuclear waste management and decision support with colleagues in Russia, Lithuania, Croatia, Spain, and Brazil. Dr. Sullivan has been recognized consistently for superior work and for providing technical analysis to meet the sponsors’ needs and schedules. He has demonstrated the ability to deliver articulate presentations to large audiences with different levels of technical knowledge, and to prepare high quality technical reports.
