Developed three-dimensional analytical models to predict tritium movement from the High Flux Beam Reactor. Supported additional issues, including source term evaluation based on the leakage rate from the Spent Fuel Pool, interpretation of horizontal well sampling results, and interpretation of the three-dimensional spreading of the plume.• Environmental Risk Assessment. Performed radiological dose assessment to support decommissioning of three nuclear power stations. Analyzed environmental risks from mercury emitted from coal fired power plants and from cesium contamination from the Chernobyl accident. Worked with the Department of Energy Center for Risk Excellence.• Environmental Decision Support. Led the development of the DECERNS decision support software tool that integrates a Geographic Information System with Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis tools. DECERNS has been used to examine a variety of problems, including remedial actions for soil contaminated with cesium from the Chernobyl accident and land use planning to protect the habitat of endangered species.
