I started my hospitality career in the restaurant industry where I worked at various establishments landing at an upscale Steak and Seafood Restaurant called Cork and Cleaver. This is where I found my passion for the hospitality industry. I was there for just under 4 years and worked as a server, bartender and Manager. I than accepted an opportunity with a hotel in Virgina Beach located on the Chesapeake Bay and to date have never had any thought of leaving this dynamic way of life. Currently as the Senior Sales Manager with the Marriott Chesapeake managed by Crestline Hotels and Resorts, I am responsible for building and maintaining long term business relationships to insure loyal repeat transient customers and group business and have continued with great success. I was on the pre opening team for the Marriott hotel and enjoyed the process of setting into place sales policies, strategies and systems. It was great to be a part of the opening frenzy and team work it takes to successfully open a full service Marriott product. I learned a great deal from the Marriott International training I completed in Boston prior to opening and was thankful for that opportunity. I started from the ground up building our Corporate and Business Transient Markets from May 2007 through October 2012 when I switched my efforts to Fraternal, Religious and Government markets which are very lucrative segments in our area. We offer 226 guest rooms and 12,000 square feet of versatile meeting space. We are convenient from all locations in Hampton Roads and beyond, as we are located just off of Interstate 64. We are situated in the Greenbrier section of Chesapeake, a hub of activity, shopping and dining venues all located just minutes from our front door.
