As an administrative assistant, I am highly organized, have excellent communication skills, and have excellent editing skills. I have managed people in a retail environment. I enjoy data entry a great deal. I also have organized many highly successful events both in my personal life and in my work. I organized the only family reunion that ever saw all 11 children of my maternal grandparents and their families gather together for this type of event. I have also organized reunions from high school, church youth groups, and several youth group events and trips. I was in charge of organizing continuing education events for volunteers at my most recent job. As the unofficial family historian, I have shown excellent organizational skills by compiling, scanning, and cataloging over 100 years of family history through pictures, family documents and verbal historical accounts. I have been responsible for transferring over 20,000 pictures, videotapes, cassette tapes, and various documents to digital format. It was the legacy left to me by my mother and her mother before her. Since successfully completing this task, I was also given this responsibility by my mother-in-law by way of her will and have now completed the monumental task of doing the same for her extended family. It has become an honor to complete these tasks and be introduced to the joy of recording family history in this way. I would love to discover a way to utilize these skills!
