Provide general office clerical support to assist outpatient/medical office. Great patience. Enter phones, text messages, return calls, and provide needed information while documentation off phone calls accurately and completely in electronic medical records. Help with the maintenance of paper charts, including the last encounter in the office, a recent test, and a recent collaboration with other physicians.Schedule, Patient appointments and visits, procedures, diagnostics, testing, referrals, and or consult.Obtain copies of insurance cards, forms of ID, and signatures on all required forms. Verifying information on appropriate accounts to determine insurance coordination of benefits, per-certification/ prior authorization, and/or referrals as required. Screen for noncovered services and waiver of liability (ABN) through automated services at the time of service. I from self-pay patients of liability due and prepayment requirements. Prepare estimate of procedures, calculate advance payment requirements on previous or bad debts, current balance. Refer potential eligible patient to financial counseling and/or contacts eligible vendors. Refer to complex or non-compliant. Patient financial issues to the clinic manager or revenue service center.Collect payment and provide an accurate receipt. Post payments in the system. Regulate receipts on cash. Collected and complete. Required balance forms. Document patient account notes for all interactions/transactions.Maintain department and or individual work queues and reported as required.Prepare medical records for patient appointments by compiling information from various sources including authorization and non-epic documents. Accurately scan medical records as required for medical group, and or specialty offices.
