I have been working on family genealogy for more than 20 years. After attending the Principals of Genealogical Research course through Boston University in 2020, and obtaining my certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston in May 2021, I have been working with private clients to answer their own genealogical quandaries, resolving cases of unknown parentage and unknown identities. I also continue to pursue ongoing education opportunities in various genealogical specialties to increase my knowledge base for research purposes. I completed ProGen classes in October 2021 and will be attending an advanced practicum course in evidence analysis through the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy(SLIG) Studies in the fall of 2022.

Freelance photographer for a variety of venues, including but not limited to; weddings, receptions, baby and family portraits, engagement portraits, parties, pet portraits, boxing and muay thai boughts, soccer tournaments and southern California wildfires.

Animal Care Attendant; April 2006-August 2009 San Diego, CA Counsel potential adopters visiting the shelter regarding the care and behavior of animals, as well as members of the public who are interested in adopting or who need to bring animals in to the shelter. “Tweenie” foster program coordinator at both the San Diego and Bonita locations. I was responsible for organizing and maintaining operation of foster program for kittens too young for adoption; up to 100+ kittens in foster care during the height of “kitten season”. Identified and prepared kittens eligible for program, contacted and educated foster parents, organized check up and return appointments Intake procedures of animals entering the shelter, including vaccinations and preliminary assessments, all recorded in medical records utilizing Chameleon database. From April 2006-March 2009, featured two animals each week on television station NBC 7/39 for their weekend morning news program.  Awarded “Employee of the Quarter” at the central shelter in 2008 and in the Bonita shelter in 2009.

On-call certified animal safety representative for the Humane Hollywood division of American Humane charged with monitoring animal action in the film industry. Responsibilities include daily field reports regarding the humane and ethical treatment of animals utilized in the film while on set.

I was a member of the Board of Directors of the Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society and the Dog Adoption and Welfare Group (DAWG). I assisted with fundraising, writing publicity material, editorials and donation request letters, offered shelter management guidance, and was a part of the Operations Committee.

Supervising Animal Care Attendant San Diego, CA• Promoted to Supervising Animal Care Attendant in August 2009. I report directly to the regional deputy director. Duties include but are not limited to: inventory and maintenance of all animals housed in the shelter, making contact with owners, Good Samaritans, rescue organizations (we currently work with more than 250 rescue partners), customers with questions or interest in animals in our care. Daily duties include monitoring inventory of animals within the shelter, kennel and behavior assessments of animals to determine best possible placements, respond to email inquiries from the Department of Animal Service’s (DAS) website. • Supervision of a staff of 13, including animal care attendants, student workers, and community service workers and volunteers. • Dispatched to assist with evacuation of animals and set up a disaster receiving shelter from wildfires in 2017, 2016 and 2015. Also photographed events for the department of animal services.• Promotion of an animal a week in the San Diego Reader and the San Diego Union Tribune• Initiated and maintain County of San Diego Animal Services Instagram site (sdanimalservices).

I write promotional and educational material for this non-profit organization dedicated to helping control overpopulation of cats and dogs by providing low cost/free spay/neuter services that will save animals from suffering and/or euthanasia. Responsibilities include writing educational material for owners considering spay and neuter of the pets, offer financial assistance to owners willing to alter their animal, administrative document development, proofread and edit all materials written for the organization.
