Medically Fragile Group Home: This facility has clients with multiple diagnosis ranging from Anoxic brain injury, epilepsy, SMA syndrome and Holoprosencephaly. Duties include medication administration, Oral and tracheostomy suctioning, Mickey tube care and placement along with feeding pump. Administering and monitoring CPAP, monitoring of oxygen saturation and heated humidity at all times, charting, obtaining, transcribing and carrying out physician's orders.

Ventilator dependent client. Maintained the care of a ventilator dependent client in the home setting. Monitoring ventilator settings, giving medications, trach care and ordering of equipment and supplies. This position required excellent assessment and organizational skills. Home visits consisting of dressing changes to wounds, injections, bowel maintenance and teaching.

Vermont Department of Corrections: I was a traveler in this 376 bed correctional facility. Duties include medication administration, wound assessment and care. Diabetic teaching and monitoring. Monitoring and reporting any changes of conditions to RN’s and Physicians. This position again requires excellent organizational skills as well as ability to communicate with corrections.

California Department of Corrections: I was a traveler in this facility which houses 4800 male inmates. Duties include medication administration, wound care, diabetic monitoring and teaching. This position requires excellent organizational skills as well as ability to get along with Correctional Officers and extreme awareness of what is happening around you at all times.

Clinic Nurse in Rural Clinics: This position required my self to travel between three rural clinics with a provider. Duties included rooming patients, administering medications, ear irrigations, setting up for specialty exams, hearing and vision testing. DOT and Sports physicals. Arranging appointments for further tests, as well as referral appointments.

Long Term Care: This four week travel assignment in a 95 bed facility required excellent charge nurse skills as with organizational and time management skills. Emergency Department: In this UCSF affiliated teaching hospital ED, I worked along side physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff providing nursing care to patients presenting with a wide variety of illnesses and injuries.
