Global change can be hard. I want to make it easier. Therefore, I evaluate processes to identify areas for improvement and design solutions to help implement change by influencing internal and external parties who may have divergent interests, to achieve short-term project objectives within my area of responsibility.By collaborating cross functionally with global internal and external customers/stakeholders, I help to assure process and procedures represent the Voice of our Customers. I am responsible for ensuring the department processes and systems are optimized to deliver the best possible customer experience. Through the execution of actionable clinical product needs assessments / intake processes, I support our Global Home Product Learning and Education team in the planning, prioritization, management, implementation, and effectiveness measurements needed to ensure maximal value is received for our stakeholders. In my role as Director, I lead development and implementation of educational programs directed toward training teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels to understand and adopt best practices. Some highlights include:►STANDARDIZING TRAINING: When I discovered lack in training consistency was a main contributor to Human Factors (HF) failures for the PD product line, I initiated development of a template to standardize our training method. After rolling out this new approach, we achieved zero Human Factors (HF) test failures.►LEARNING AUDIT: I felt it was important to conduct an open and honest gap analysis to uncover institutional deficiencies in order to enhance the PD education portfolio for all stakeholders. To do this, I partnered with Guidemark Health, evaluated 30 educational tools, and established next steps.In addition to the highlights above, I’m proud to be leading my dedicated team through the development of a full clinical marketing plan and training program in preparation for the launch of our new PD cycler. I’m also excited to be working on an initiative that will guide both training and device development by gaining a deeper understanding regarding the consumer complaints we receive.All these projects have required extensive collaboration and the ability to inspire others to be at their best. I coordinated all marketing, including advertising, PR, sales force promotion, and patient/clinician education. I also had the opportunity to lead the team that focused on the development and promotion of training programs.We had several wins during this time that came as a result of our success in innovating new patient-focused programs and sales strategies. A few that stand out most to me include:► DIRECT TO PATIENT MARKETING: I conceived of and executed the first-ever patient speaker program. This program was readily embraced and lauded by our sales department for closing more sales. This program was expanded to include PD patients in 2017.► PRODUCT LAUNCH: I led my team to deliver the highest sales from 2011 to 2014 after leading a complex strategy to reintroduce a device previously removed from the market in late 2007. Within six months of starting my role as a brand new registered nurse working in a medical/surgery unit for urology and nephrology patients, I became the unit representative for the hospital quality assurance program. Additionally, I was given responsibility to precept new nurses who joined our team.
