Functioning as Sr Leader for the Staff Operations group at Life.Church. Reporting to the Team Development Leader/VP. As the Central Group Leader of Staff Operations, I am responsible for providing leadership over the following teams: Human Resources, Benefits, Recruitment, and Leadership XP Internship Program. Direct reports include the Director of Human Resources, Recruitment Director, Benefits Director, Central Team Leader -Leadership XP, and Central Team Leader - StaffKIDS. The Staff Operations group supports a staff size of 800+. Life.Church has an average attendance of 90k; with 34 locations throughout the USA and Church Online. Additionally, Life.Church is the creator of YouVersion, the Bible App and the Bible App for Kids. • Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policy and procedures, keeping lines of communication open between employees and management. Participate in monthly Mgr. meetings, striving to keep each area of the company working towards same goal.• Supervise recruiter in the development and implementation of recruitment and retention programs.• Maintain and track HR budget, including approval of invoices and PO tracking.• Benefit administration, to include enrollment, claim resolution, change reporting, COBRA, approving invoicing and billing, and communicate with officers and customers. Initiated and implemented health insurance coverage opportunities for PT employees.• Compliance reporting for the City of Kansas City, EEO-1.• Oversee and/or advise on all employee relations issues, including FMLA, ADA, Sexual Harassment, Disciplinary processes, EEOC claims, COBRA, Work Comp., etc. • Supervision of Human Resource staff, including annual performance appraisals, attaining company goals through individual performance, disciplinary process, motivation and communication. Directly supervised 4 employees, reduced to 2 in 2002 due to restructure.• Provide HR analysis and reporting to communicate the activities and accomplishments of the HR dept. Including goals and areas of improvement needed.• Processing and monitoring of unemployment claims and assisting in appeals and tribunal process.• Monitor worker’s compensation claims and coordinate information flow between adjuster, medical provider and corporate office.• Oversee Private Officer Commissioning and Renewal process, including communication with employees, monetary transactions and communication with Kansas City Police Dept.• Use of HRIS – SAP – in the tracking of personnel information and benefits.

• Assessment and tracking of Staff – Assist Branch Managers in assessing the staffing needs and goals of the operation.• Communicate with ER Manager, Region Vice President and Operations Manager staffing levels, goals and activity.• Develop strategies for attaining staff and recruit for the Midwest Region both Union and Non-Union positions. • Assist employees and management in dealing with employee related issues, problems and questions.• Investigate all allegations of discrimination, harassment, and sexual harassment.• Participate in disciplinary/termination process. Serving as company witness and counselor to management and employee.• Perform competitive wage analysis and make recommendations for annual wage/benefit evaluations for Union Free workforce.• Perform all duties related to Employee Relations: HR Generalist duties, performance/job appraisals, review of merit increases, employee status changes, DOT compliance, resource for management questions/issues regarding pay, benefits and working conditions.

• Recruit qualified candidates to fill both Union and Non-Union positions. Ranging from Field Technicians and Clerical to Sales and Management.• Conduct weekly and bi-weekly payroll for Union and Non-Union employees.• Track and Report all Worker’s Compensation claims.• Performed HR Generalist duties for both Management and Union employees.
