Currently, I am the manager of the Fresh produce department where I am responsible for looking after 36 members of staff. This role is very demanding, not only do I have to manage the staff on the department I have to ensure that each and every customer is satisfied with the products we offer and the service we provide. In addition to this, I have to comply with legal requirements.I started Waitrose in October 2002 and was put on a training schedule for six month to qualify as a section manager, within 4 months I was appointed as a full time section manager due to my previous management skills and determination to succeed. My 17 week report was highly commended and sales within my section have increased by 8% against the same period last year.
