• Managed operations for the captive automated anodize/chromate conversion and paint facility supporting DSE’s fully integrated systems contract under the U.S. Army for the 40 MM family of ammunition. • Responsible for managing all personnel and phosphate and paint production for up to 10 million M918 40mm grenade bodies and caps per year.• Responsible for developing production schedules and meeting company deadlines and production goals.• Responsible for meeting all government specifications and compliance on all finishing processes.Project Manager (September 2001 – November 2003)• Designed, developed and implemented a plan for a captive anodize/chromate conversion and paint facility to save Balimoy Manufacturing/GTI Systems, Inc. approximately $850k per year on plating costs.• Responsible for developing suppliers to meet Balimoy’s metal finishing needs prior to and through the completion of their captive finishing facility.• Developed a new process prior to plating of the M918 40mm grenade bodies that reduced non-conforming parts from 3% to less than 0.5% resulting in a cost savings of 60k per year.
