Terry began his career in the Investment Services Industry in 1977 with Prudential Bache Securities in Raleigh, North Carolina. Upon his relocation in 1984 to Pennsylvania, he was employed by Commonwealth National Bank, and later as Portfolio Manager and Chief Investment Officer at Meridian Asset Management and its successor, CoreStates Asset Management. He joined National Penn Investors Trust Company in 1996, where he designed the NPITC equity selection process. National Penn is now part of the BB&T family but he continues to manage the Large Cap, Mid Cap, and All Cap Equity strategies for BB&T's Retirement and Institutional clients.Terry and his equity team have been recognized by PSN Informa Investment Solutions as a “Top Guns – Manager of the Decade” for the investment performance of the LargeCap and MidCap Strategies. PSN ranked the LargeCap Strategy 10th out of 370 peer products and the MidCap Strategy 8th out of 90 peer products. Both strategies, over the prior 10 years, had delivered above market returns with below market risk.Terry received his Bachelor of Science degree from The Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the CFA Institute, and CFA Society of Philadelphia.
