I am now managing the Main store. I moved over to this as a way to better serve the Salvation Army. I love the opportunity to work for the Army, to serve our community with a wonderful shopping experience and be a blessing to our beneficiaries.

I started this business from the ground up. It developed into being one of the largest and most successful antique mall in Southern Illinois. Voted Best of the Best for 10 years straight. My duties encompassed everything involved in running a business. I put 100% into ensuring my store's success. I was responsible for hiring, training, banking, opening, closing, and advertising. I remerchandised my store continuously to make each visit from customers welcoming and refreshed. The most important part of my duties was to greet every customer, engage in conversation, discover their needs and fulfill them. This way my clientele list grew with each transaction and guaranteed my store's success. I sold my store to Debbie Tallman, which enabled me to relocate to California, where most of my family resides.

As store manager, I opened and closed, ordered and restocked merchandise, customer educating and sales, and all associated bookkeeping. I loved my customers and this was a position that allowed me to see how nutrition and a great supplement plan, can change people's lives. This was a very rewarding position.

For several years I worked in the Pacific Beach location as Manager. Duties included hiring, training, all bookkeeping, opening and closing procedures. This was such a pleasure as the customers were like minded in their pursuit of health and happiness.I managed the vitamin department at the Clairemont Mesa store which I loved. This enabled me to directly assess each clients individual vitamin/mineral needs and get them on a program specific to their situations. I was able to see lives dramatically improve almost always, and it was fulfilling to have been a part of that.
