I work with fellow fundraisers to collaborate and create strategies and programs to raise money for the mission. This might mean writing appeals for a general audience, calling donors directly, or working behind the scene to ensure in-person and online events are a success. Authentic relations with people is the key to increasing donor recruitment and retention. And I enjoy doing it! I love being a part of a team that is smart, creative, and dedicated to success.

I focused on the accurate maintenance of Raiser's Edge, communicating gratitude with donors, and assisting in the planning and execution of fund drives. I also assisted the Operations team with daily administrative tasks and special projects to ensure a smooth workflow in a virtual-first office environment.

I host outreach booths at local events, including talking to the public about transportation options, with a team or independently. In addition, I use social media to engage followers and promote what Move Redmond is up to. I thought creatively, with the rest of the Move Redmond staff, about community partnerships and events. The best part is riding the e-bike, Raspberry, to the events!

While serving as an Americorps VISTA in the role of a Community Resource Developer, I was able to work with community partners to expand the capacity of the food bank. This included running social media pages, working on fundraisers, and establishing and expanding connections in the greater Seattle area.

Hawaiian Islands

As an Americorps VISTA Data Analyst, I worked on the implementation of a new pilot program designed to transition people living in poverty into self-sufficiency. My work entailed collecting and analyzing data, creating reports and recommendations for improvement, as well as training staff members of new software and policies.
