Current• Maintains and controls pharmaceutical and associated supplies. By properly performing 100% inventory on all incoming pharmaceutical and supplies daily. By properly performing 100% inventory on all incoming pharmaceutical and supplies daily. Assists in conducting medication storage area inspections to assure adequate pharmaceutical stock was maintained, rotation of stock was done daily by using my knowledge of pharmaceuticals in order to perform duties in pharmacy functional areas; and knowledge of pharmaceutical nomenclature (including generic, chemical, and proprietary names of drug) and dosage forms.• Supply, verify and monitor robotic machines (ScriptPro and OmniCell) that dispense medicine into containers, and label the containers. Received incoming stock, checks for discrepancies, and rotates stock for the full range of medication and supplies, including controlled substances.• Determines type of substance, strength, dosage, and quantity to be dispensed in accordance with accepted practice and pharmacy standing operating procedures (SOPs). • Informs supervisor about stock level changes as determined by unusual increases or decreases in demand and seasonal requirements. Calls attention to short expiration dates and unusual appearance of items.• Ensures strict adherence to sterile procedures and correct operation and maintenance of equipment.• Performs compounding on an as needed basis. Once product is prepared, it is set aside for final review.• Dispense filled prescriptions accurately for Pharmacist final check and dispense to customers. • Input prescription and customer information into the computer system accurately. • Practice safe drug handling procedures within the legal guidelines and regulations • Rotate product, monitor expiration dates, and remove out of date product. • Count, pour and retrieve legend drugs for prescription filling • Prepare prescriptions for mailing • Return prescription drugs to stock (ScriptPro) at appropriate intervals Show less
