I am a highly motivated and competition driven individual. I grew up playing football for 15 years and continued into college. Two of the most important parts of being a football player are being coachable and accountable, these are principles that I try to live by. In being accountable to yourself and your team, you must understand how your actions impact the rest of the team. If one person misses an assignment someone else has to work twice as hard to make up for their mistake, every piece is important to the end goal. In being coachable you are able to learn from your mistakes and be receptive to constructive criticism, this is understanding how to grow and improve.For my undergraduate studies I double majored in Legal Studies and Political Science at St. John Fisher College. There I developed my research and writing skills in both how laws are made and how they are executed in the legal system. This gave me the ability to understand both sides of the equation to public policy. While in undergrad I interned at the Legal Aid Society in the landlord tenant division where I learned how important public policy can be in people's lives. Many people suffer mistreatment often illegally by landlords because they do not know their rights, or they simply just do not have the money to defend them. I also interned at a small Real estate law firm where I learned how to draft contracts, contact clients, and consult with colleagues. Both of these experiences help build the knowledge and skills for me to be an asset to your team.I am willing to travel and prefer to live near a large metropolitan area. I like the diversity and character that large cities have, as well as the ability to interact and meet many new people. I am outgoing and easy to talk to, as well as someone who likes to enjoy my work and not take myself too seriously. I believe with these characteristics as well as my broad knowledge of public policy and the courts I can be a great addition and help improve your firm.
