• Establishment and management of online assessment system User Forum to develop and deliver system requirements in light of changing demands. Using business analysis methods I identified and prioritised objectives, delivered training materials, and liaised with internal and external stakeholders to foster an environment of continuous improvement and end-user buy-in. • Module change project with no budget and widely varying methods across campus, I consulted with University specialists and other institutions. I built and piloted a successful new system which improved the student experience, vastly reducing staff workload, and producing high quality data outputs to be fed into the longer-term project work. • Designed and built a web area where service deliverables could be pooled in an accessible way, consistent with service priorities. The page structure which grouped our various outputs in a logical way, and has also become a training resource for academic and PS staff.• Realignment of CRM enquiry centres following changes in University Strategy and service structure. I provided my design to the SID Analysts who then implemented the changes. I led Hub and SID staff through the changes and launch, and liaised with subsidiary groups.• Direct management of a team of 9, and wider co-management of a team of 18 to maintain system resilience, professional services data quality, ultimately delivering educational support to ~5000 students.

European Voluntary Service (EVS) is an EU-funded scheme for young people to spend a year working abroad in nongovernmental organisations. I was responsible for writing the funding applications, communicating with hosts, and finding suitable applicants. The scheme also requires that volunteers take part in pre-departure and mid-term trainings which I helped to coordinate and lead. Each placement had to be carefully budgeted and managed, and I was also available for pastoral support and problem-solving. My largest project with EYFA was worth in excess of EUR130,000 and linked 12 volunteers from organisations across 6 countries (Turkey, Belgium, Slovenia, Netherlands, Italy and Sweden). Alongside this, I managed a number of smaller two-way exchanges in collaboration with various national youth agencies.EYFA also ran a number of other projects across Europe and we were responsible for sourcing locations, materials, local organisations, participants and devising content. Whilst on-site I also ran workshops, created publicity material, coordinated on-site finances, and networked for potential new project partners. On a local scale, we ran a multitude of smaller projects supporting youth communities in Amsterdam and across the Netherlands.I became the Financial Coordinator for the organisation in 2008. This involved dealing with day-to-day finances, overseeing large project budgets and finalising end of year financial reports.

The Art Centre is situated in the border region of Slovenia with Hungary and mainly focuses on providing activities for isolated local youth and hosting international artists, performers and craftspeople to help develop the region. Tasks were wide and varied, from assisting with grant applications, to hosting groups of students, to coordinating projects with a number of international partner organisations. I also gained experience in computer software used for video-editing, DVD construction, graphic design and web design. We also helped local people to access funding, including the local independent TV station.On an individual level, I ran my own project called 'Wanted:Unwanted' where I collected second-hand clothes from local Hungarian and Slovenian villagers and redesigned them into fashion items. The aim was to show the isolated traditional farming families that they weren't as out of touch with modern society as they sometimes assumed. I created a website, DVD, posters, and held two exhibitions as part of the project.
