I am passionate about keeping adults actively engaged in life by developing and hosting programs that focus on health, well-being, and quality of life.My experience and skills in adult education, professional training, coaching, and program development have strengthened my ability to:- Observe, elicit, and listen to people's needs.- Help people establish and achieve their goals.- Develop and implement tailored activities, exercises, and workshops.- Create a communication-friendly environment for people to learn, grow, and express themselves in.I see education and peer support as critical components of successful aging in terms of health, quality of life, and well-being. Consequently, I launched a workshop for senior centers that focuses on health literacy and how older adults can communicate more effectively with doctors and nurses. The desired outcome was for older adults to feel empowered and make sound decisions about their health thanks to communication techniques learned during the workshop. I am always interested in hearing and learning from gerontologists, public health specialists, senior center directors, and retirement home and community directors.
