I bring the written word to life with creativity, humor, and intelligence so that no document, however boring, is boring. My experience spans the artistic, unpredictable world of Hollywood, the face-paced arena of digital publishing, and the challenging institution of teaching. Due to this cross-industry experience, I am able to write effectively for a wide array of audiences. When managing, my super strength lies in my ability to inspire teams to creatively and collaboratively solve problems. I do this by fostering an atmosphere of openness and trust, and my co-workers at all levels see me as an ally. I have a proven record of career success that I contribute to my improvisation skills, and some of my greatest career achievements reflect this. ✰ At Pearson, I led a team to create 108 pacing guides (marketing collateral) across the K-12 curriculum. This required creative organizing and editing to repurpose and reframe content and distill it into one informative, easy to read page. My cross-functional team delivered the project several weeks before the proposed delivery date.✰ At Munich International School, I directed a large-scale, musical production of "A Midsummer Night’s Dream," inspiring an international student cast, parents, and staff to love Shakespeare. I also managed a budget of approximately €10,000.✰ In television, I rewrote a 90-minute episode of a children’s show and co-supervised the filming, completing rewrites on set, and persuading a camel to exit on cue. The result was an entertaining movie-length version of the half-hour show I had been writing for.My career philosophy? It is essential for me to know I am making a contribution. I love seeing the effect my work, – whether it is something I wrote, edited, or fostered another writer to create – has on the consumer. This is what motivates me and inspires me to write the next chapter of my career. If you’re looking for a passionate writer, editor, and team leader, let’s connect.
