I am extremely honored to have been nominated and selected to serve a two-year term on the Syracuse University Alumni Association (SUAA) Board. The SUAA Board of Directors guides the Syracuse University Alumni Association in establishing priorities for alumni engagement consistent with University goals. Board members have distinguished themselves as leaders within the alumni community while demonstrating a personal commitment to the University. They are ambassadors who have great knowledge on the history, traditions, and activities of SU.

Mr. Marshall is responsible for the operational efficiency and profitability of the multimillion-dollar (gross) Northeast Region. This includes refractory product design and selection, sales and marketing, safety, personnel and facilities management.

Responsible for assisting with the desgin of deep and shallow foundation systems for buildings and other infrastructures, earth retaining structures, soil anaylsis, ground improvement and construction montioring. Daily tasks include the preparation of design calculations, drawings, preparation of subsurface data reports, geotecnical design reports and preparing field reports. Other tasks include reviewing submitals from contractors, communitation with construction supervisors and coorodinating construction schedules.

I have worked on large NYCDEP projects in addition to working on various projects in the municipal sector performing engineering assessments, data collection, and water and wastewater design and mapping. I have taken a project from conceptual phase, through design, construction and turn over to the client. I have supervised geotechnical investigations and prepared soil reports. I am proficient in foundation design, whether deep or shallow foundation design, dam design and retaining wall design. I can prepare geotechnical design memorandum/reports.I am also experienced with water and wastewater modeling utilizing modeling software programs including XPSWMM and EPAnet. I am very proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS. At O’Brien & Gere, I am currently responsible for preparing reports and making recommendations concerning the direction of a project, and maintaining a close relationship with the client throughout development of a project. I execute design computation, and develops design criteria and sketches, preliminary plans, and reports. I am also responsible for the review and processing of shop drawings during construction, for conformance to the contract documents.
