Wetout Supervisor
• Direct and plan the day to day activities of the wet out plant’s production and logistics activities. Carried out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws. • Directed, implemented, and maintained manufacturing plans, policies, and programs to improve quality, delivery time, and drive towards low-cost leadership of the wet out manufacturing plant. • Continuously improved methods, processes, and facilities to raise productivity, improve return on investment, and achieve lower costs with full regard for the health, safety, and well-being of employees. Identifies and implements best practices including ISO 9000 and Six Sigma systems to achieve manufacturing excellence throughout the facility. Monitors production output and quality data. • Personally participated and assisted in wet out processes, as required. • Managed consumable supplies and tools. • Maintained and was responsible for preventative maintenance, works to diagnose and fix equip breakdowns or calls in the correct resources to fix breakdowns. • Conducted inventory cycle counts and coordinated with Operations to maintain an accurate inventory of materials. • Planed and coordinated logistics activities, ensured trucks/tractors and equipment were in full DOT compliance and all systems were functioning properly. • Assisted in unloading of resin, chemicals, dry tube and other materials. Received material into the computer system. • Monitored the plant operating budget; understanding profit and loss statements; identified and implemented improvements to positively affect profitability. Prepared and/or maintained various reports, records and/or logs (e.g., budget, production payroll, etc.) • Assisted in employee developmental methods and processes to improve skill level, involvement, value, and morale. • Communicated and enforced safety programs and procedures; conducts routine safety inspections.
