PechaKucha is the art of concise presentation. Started in Tokyo, PechaKucha is now in over 800 cities around the world. The presentation format is 20 images for 20 seconds each. PechaKucha encourages story telling, sharing creative experiences and spreading new and interesting ideas. Tesia and a friend brought PechaKucha Nights to Accident, Maryland to develop the community and share new ideas. Each nights consist of 8-12 speakers. Developing these nights require speaker recruitment, communication between speakers, organizers and venue, marketing the event throughout the community and maintaining the PechaKucha Accident Event and Presentation page. Deep Creek 2014 was the host event organization for the 2014 International Canoe Federation Canoe Slalom World Championship. This whitewater kayak and canoe event was held in McHenry, Maryland at the Adventure Sports Center International, only the second time held in the United States. Deep Creek 2014 welcomed 42 teams from around the world for this 4 day event which was aired by NBC Sports and NBC Universal and around the world. The JET Program is an initiative sponsored by the Japanese government to promote internationalization at the grassroots level by bringing young, college-educated individuals to work in communities throughout Japan. JET participants work full-time as Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) in the public school system in local government offices. We rehabilitate and provide sanctuary to over 500 primates, orphaned, injured, abused, ex-laboratory or unwanted pets. Responsibilities:Cared for baby and teenaged orphaned or injured vervet monkeys.Protected the property from natural weather and disaster by creating firebreaks.Built structures for monkey enclosure, medical centers and volunteer areas.
