Aimmune is a relatively new company developing the world’s first oral immunotherapy to treat peanut allergy. I️ lead European Patient Advocacy & Public Affairs, collaborating with patient advocacy groups and healthcare professionals to develop engaging disease education programmes to highlight the unmet needs in this disease area. Our disease education film, Leo’s Story aka Living With Uncertainty, recently scooped Gold at the PM Society Awards.

Multiple Sclerosis, Heart Failure, Severe Allergic Asthma, Psoriasis, COPDMost recent successes include working with a wonderful group of people with MS to create the first health App for Novartis UK, called SymTrac, which is now being developed into a global App for Novartis. Another first was to launch SymTrac android using only social media communications channels, which resulted in hundreds of downloads and visits to our website in the first week alone.I was responsible for the UK PR launch of the world's first oral treatment for relapsing and remitting multiple sclerosis and led the disease awareness campaigns and partnerships with patient support groups. Multiple award winning PR campaign reaching well over a hundred million people, using a wide variety of communications channels to share an engaging set of materials. Working with a multitude of patient advocacy groups has provided me with great opportunities to create films and DVDs featuring people with health conditions, as well as some well known actors and even a beautiful white horse ('Gallop' for Shift.MS). In 2013, I developed the pre-launch Comms and Patient Advocacy plan for our dermatology portfolio to ensure the patient voice was firmly embedded into our overall launch plans.I bring a wealth of experience working with internal and external stakeholders to drive communications around health technology appraisals, in particular for MS and Severe Asthma. Always a delight when the press headlines read: "NICE U-Turn".In 2013, I was honoured to win the company's only Platinum Award for my role within the neuroscience franchise. This year I won one of only three Neuriscirnce team global awards for collaboration. External recognition includes bring a finalist in the eyeforpharma annual awards and three campaigns have been voted as Finalist entries for Communique 2015.

Project PR for a variety of local companies to drive awareness of their business offerings.

Set up the first Communications Department for Janssen-Cilag in the UK working across the therapy areas including psychiatry, oncology, dermatology and HIV, as well as setting up internal communications strategies and policies. Within the first year, I worked on three product launches, including two new therapies in HIV, and expanded the Communications department to three members. Part of the role included being a lead in the company move from Saunderton to High Wycombe, covering everything from employee engagement and change management to office design and layout. Pleased to say we were all up and running within the first hour of moving in.

Having joined Bristol-Myers Squibb UK in 1999 to head up the PR and Communications department, I was promoted to lead the European Corporate & Business Communications of the psychiatry division. My key focus was to develop successful disease education programmes that would engage and motivate the 16 markets I worked with across the region, to support the launch of the company's new atypical antipsychotic medication. I partnered with colleagues in Government Affairs to bring severe mental health, specifically schizophrenia, to the attention of MEPs in Brussels and harness support for better care of this part of the community. Together with 15 Patient Groups from around Europe, we developed an illustrated support book for family and friends of people with schizophrenia which was translated into 14 languages.
