Intern with Primary Care Physician's Administration of the Doylestown Health network. This role allowed me to work with Medicaid patients to ensure they are seeing their Primary Care Physicians for preventative visits as well as assist patients in scheduling immunizations and blood work. In this position, I worked with the managers of the Primary Care offices to carry out administrative services to keep processes running smoothly for both the patients and the physicians. Following HIPAA guidelines was also a crucial part of this role as to ensure the protection of privacy and confidentiality of patient health information.

I was fortunate to gain insightful public health experience during the evolving COVID-19 pandemic as a frontline worker with Doylestown Health Primary Care Buckingham. To ensure the health and well-being of everyone at this practice, I screened and questioned each patient as they walked through the door. This included taking temperatures with a non-contact infrared thermometer as well as asking CDC-recommended questions about signs and symptoms of COVID-19. These necessary precautions were taken to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the midst of the pandemic. Along with screening patients, I assisted in administrative tasks such as updating and organizing protected health information in patients' medical files.

As part of my graduate capstone, I interned with SNJPC to conduct analytical research and data visualization to facilitate increasing equitable access to maternal health services in New Jersey. In this internship I utilized softwares such as SPSS to analyze large datasets (N > 50,000) and POWER BI to create data visualizations. I used several different statistical tests to analyze the data and created technical summaries as well as proposed possible interventions for increasing access to care. I also dove into current maternal health policies and created policy summaries to compare past, present, and future policies surrounding maternal health and connected this back to the statistical results I obtained.

In this position, I work with a team of individuals at the front end register to efficiently help customers get what they need, answer any questions, and assist in any way possible to ensure a positive Buckman's experience. Working at the front end register means that we clarify any questions pertaining to rental agreement contracts, carry out stock transfers from any of the other Buckman's locations in eastern Pennsylvania, and keep track of inventory and item availability within the store.

In this role, I worked with individually as well as with a team of three other interns to design and implement programs geared towards substance abuse prevention among youth populations in New Hope-Solebury, Pennsylvania. By analyzing community health data, I was able to create and implement evidence-based educational programs for parents and adolescents. I also worked with a team of interns to carry out focus groups to further expand our knowledge of area through community needs assessments.

Intern with the Quality Assurance team of KVK Tech, a pharmaceutical manufacturing company out of Newtown, Pennsylvania. In this position, I reconciled pharmaceutical waste with the intent of preventing public exposure to class II, III, IV drugs as well as organized and compiled data to adhere to FDA guidelines and maintain proper documentation. Along with those, I also followed cGMP and laboratory safety regulations and analyzed confidential and sensitive information pertaining to pharmaceutical quality assurance regulations. As a Quality Assurance intern, my main goal was to assist the QA team in laboratory procedures for daily data collection for research and development monitoring.
