The E100 aims to end rural poverty for 65,000 people in Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and Ghana, through efforts in Healthcare, Water & Sanitation (WASH) infrastructure projects, and Economic Development in 5 years. I work with program teams to fully align efforts with UN Sustainable Development Goals 3, 6, and 9, manage risk and conflict resolution, and promote best practices between local teams for this strategic initiatve. In this role, I coordinate data collection, fundraising efforts and reporting for over $2,139,000 spent in programming in conjunction with partner organizations. Finally, I assist in grant writing and proposal preparation, financial modelling for individual projects and overal community growth, and evaualtion techniques to assess project completion.

Tegucigalpa, Honduras

Based out of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, coordinating the in-country experience of 32 university volunteer groups varying between Medicine, Dental, Public Health, Engineering, Water, and Business Programs. With Global Brigades, I managed fundraising, recruitment, and logistical efforts for student brigades to Honduras. I also explored many leadership initiatives such as presenting business skills and entrepreneurship workshop for Global Brigade’s biannual Women’s Conference, and creating an office recycling program. Leveraging my experience in engineering, I was able to acquire more knowledge in infrastructure application in developing countries. I created CAD visualizations for the WASH team, translated plans and calculation packages, and educated students about designing and constructing for potable water systems in rural Honduras. I also supported the water team in community education regarding natural resource management, reforestation, and the effects of climate change.

Panama

As a field engineer for a non profit organization ending to aim rural isolationism I am responsible for the following: conducting social site assessments and topographic surveys of potential bridge areas, assisting with initial design calculations, working with communities to establish and create bridge foundations, leading construction efforts with local masons and the community, and leading the construction done by university and corporate teams that visit from the United States. In this role, I have gained fluency in Spanish as well as a vast knowledge of business and government relations in Latin America.

A $2.7 billion dollar metro rail job, running 11.3 miles from Weihle Station (Reston, VA) through Dulles International Airport to Ashburn, VA. I currently serve as the structural field engineer for the substrucure team. My responsibilities include monitoring thermal control, completing take-offs, tracking quantity, organizing quality control documentation, and keeping track of STS inventory for five crews. My role also includes making sure the Foreman have what they need to build the work, and coordinating with other specialties (survey, quality control, environmental, etc.) to make sure our work is built at the quality for which Kiewit is known.
