Project Lead The Way (PLTW) is a non profit (501 3c) committed to engage, empower and inspire educators and students in America. Based on employing the Design Process used by engineers around the world (ask, explore, model, evaluate, and explain) PLTW offers STEM curriculum for students in Kindergarten through Grade 12. We bring lessons designed for implementation in activity, project, and problem-based learning across three curricular pathways: Engineering, Computer Science, and Biomedical Science. Evidence shows significant gains in scores on standardized testing, but we know that students aren't inspired by scores alone. PLTW introduces teachers and students to the excitement of deep learning, developing skills that we so desperately need for 21st century careers.

Long recognized as a leader in providing highly secure and customer centric test center operations, Terry and her direct reports helped the Prometric testing centers migrate from the entrepreneurial mix of franchise and corporate delivery points to a cohesive and responsive professional test delivery network. During her tenure with Prometic Terry revised the training materials and staff scheduling algorithm to improve employee effectiveness and satisfaction, thus reducing turnover by more than 50%. Terry joined Insurance Testing Corporation (ITC) as one of the first members of senior management. She was instrumental in nurturing the start up company and managing all customer facing transactions from registration and scheduling through delivery of a score report. In the early years she negotiated leases for new testing locations, designed the floor-plan, supervised the construction and installed furniture and hardware for each new office as they opened more than 100 test centers across the United States. As her team grew she managed teams to provide customer centric approaches to daily transactions allowing registration, scheduling, and test delivery for computer based certification and licensure programs. Terry eventually shifted her direct focus from daily transactional interactions to strategic client acquisition and program management. When ITC joined Chauncey, ETS, and Sylvan Prometric after several successful years, Terry was one of the few leaders recruited to move into senior management positions on the east coast, where she was recognized for helping capture the voice of the market to drive business model development in the Prometric testing center operations.
