Tevis regularly counsels and defends employers against claims brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), breach of employment contracts, non-compete agreements, and other employment matters. Tevis also works to advance the knowledge of employers and human resources professionals with respect to state and federal employment laws. He is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and frequently lectures on employment law topics.
