I trained NYS employee's, and private providers of chemical dependency programs, to ensure quality care.I managed a project involving collaboration with the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles, the NYS Office of Court Administration, providers of health care and educators in building an information technology system for reporting compliance with DWI requirements. (Impaired Driver System, IDS) www.oasas.ny.gov This project also changed the curriculum for the drinking driver programs that are mandated by the Courts in DWI cases. We created a list of professionals qualified to do assessments in the field of health care/mental heath and specifically, alcoholism and substance abuse services. I traveled around the State of New York educating/training and helping to implement changes in the law and regulations for this field. Represented the agency at government conferences, steering committee meetings and development meetings. These projects included grant writing and reporting, contract management, procurement, hiring, supervising and managing staff from different parts of the agency. Attended several training's on leadership and project management. I have experience with researching and writing on topics such as, criminal law, privacy laws, health care law and freedom of information law, as well as regulations from many different disciplines.
