He was also honored as a Barron’s Top 1000 Financial Advisor in 2009, and has been named to several of Smith Barney’s prestigious Councils for elite advisors from 2000-2010. Prior to Hightower, Tom was a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. He previously worked in many of the world's key financial centers, including London, Frankfurt, Geneva, Hong Kong, Singapore and New York, with a focus on finance and international banking.Tom received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Nebraska. With a dual major in Economics and Finance, he graduated with High Distinction. He holds the Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses. Tom, his wife, Tamara, and their three children, Cal, Paige and Georgia, live in the historic Happy Hollow area of Omaha. With the little free time left from parenting, Tom and Tamara enjoy restoring their colonial home, searching for art and antiques, and playing some tennis.
