Working within a Product Development space, as a Business Analyst I was responsible for a wide range of activities that enables business to efficiently deliver state of the art products to customers. The focus was on new and enhancement to existing products.Below are key roles and responsibilities:- Work with the product development teams to define business requirements, define solutions to address business, processes, information and system problems.- Suggest solutions to identified or tacit business issues in primary function or application domain.- By applying best practice methodologies: to define, to scope, document and validate requirements of product development for information, processes or system changes and improvements.- Leading of small projects and assisting with definition of small project plans and/or elements in large projects or programme plans.Acting as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of Internet Solutions and recommend solutions that will enable achieving of organisational goals.

As a Business Analyst I am responsible for a full range of activities which ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of the business unit. I design and document workflow and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness. I also track and analyze business unit trends and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact the unit.In addition to my day to day activities I'm also responsible for :-1. Conducting JAD sessions with stakeholders to understand the business (system) needs (gap analysis) and propose possible solutions.2. Preparing business requirements for proposed systems3. Prepare specification documentation in respect of solutions to be submitted to business owner for approval prior to final sign off by stakeholders.4. Defining and creation of test cases for use in testing of systems.5. Preparation of training material in respect of any new developments.6. Advice any concerns identified to the developer testing team for further development.7. Project manages the user acceptance testing.

In my position as student assistant i helped fellow students in the challenges they where facing in developing their programs, i also helped them analyze the program requirements so that the appropriate code could be developed.
