Globally experienced manager and certified Enterprise Architect with current hands-on expertise in all stages of systems and software engineering.I have worked with Northrop Grumman, then TASC, for 15 years, starting out as a Senior Software Engineer, then Project Manager supporting large-scale systems development within the Dept. of State for deployment across 150+ consulate offices world-wide, to my current role as a Technical Director specializing in Enterprise Architecture. For seven years, I have worked as a Chief Architect in support of the Dept. of Navy, from planning to execution.     Azure Cloud Architect and team leader for GEICO Underwriting (UW) Systems DevOps team. Primary responsibility was to establish the DevOps practices and architect the migration of UW systems to Azure cloud with the various development teams. Common Azure resources used include PaaS, IaaS, Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, and DocumentDB. Of 32 systems scheduled for migration, lead the design and migration of 11 systems, three of which successfully went into production in the first year. The migration of each system first involved briefing the individual development team of the onboarding processes to launch the project. With project launch, worked with the individual development leads to design the project specific network topology utilizing resources available in Azure that would fit within GEICO security constraints. At integration and load testing phase, worked in identifying and documenting control gates to monitor potential system causes for outages before it can happen. Secondary responsibilities include acting as the UW representative in various GEICO architecture councils and working groups. Based on changing and new strategical direction, worked with the UW DevOps Manager to update the team’s short and long-term plan and strategy.

Provided subject matter expertise in the development of the Naval Enterprise Architecture Repository (NEAR) based on an open systems architecture, with usage of various DoD reference models, including the BEA, JCA, UJTL, UNTL, and DIEA. NEAR acted as the official repository for housing the Navy DoDAF 2.x architecture artifacts produced from IBM Rational System Architect and automated review of those artifacts. • Lead Enterprise Architect in support of the DoEd Cyber Security Infrastructure Discovery and Analysis. Developed a custom .NET application to parse scanned vulnerability data and associated it to system assets.• Lead Enterprise Architect/Project Manager for the transition of In2itive’s flagship product to the cloud using both Microsoft Azure and Amazon Cloud Services. Led a team of 12 people through the full SDLC conversion of a thick-client/server application to a microservices architecture using .NET. Employed the Twelve-Factor App methodology.
